This job in particular deals with the *automated staging, syspreping, post-image manipulation and boot test automation*. This area ties together our *build & BVT systems* and is the last piece of the automation before release. The person who fills this position will also be expected to help with build & BVT automation and work with the owners of those areas to help ensure a smooth automation flow between the 3 areas. *Qualifications:* - *1-3 years* experience in the software industry and knowledge of the *Software Development Life Cycle* - *1-2 years* Experience in *writing automated tools* - Ability to read and write one or more of the following languages (*C/C++, C#, Perl, VB, VBScript, Java*) - Administrative knowledge *Windows Server 2003, Windows XP & Windows Vista* - Experience *programming SQL preferred* (*Queries & Stored Procedures*) *Manager's Notes:* - *Daily debugging/maintenance* of *product staging* through *Product RTM *. - Study *current automated and un-automated processes* in *staging & BVT*. - Complete plans and timeline for automation improvements within the live staging environment and product timeframe. - Full end-to-end Staging automation up and running using existing scripts + minor improvements. - Parallelization of tasks within the automation. - *Inclusion of shared Perl modules with automated Build system*. - *BVT Automation kickoff design & plans*. - Merging of Staging automation with *BVT Execution launch*. Via some common interface to provide a signal. - *Team queue system for Staging inclusion with existing Smoke system*. - Planning for next version staging support. - *Staging improvements for Beta*. - Implement queue system for Staging with existing Smoke system. - Maintenance plan for system. - *Completed documention of staging system*. - *SQL DB design/implementation to hold Staging reports.* - *Maintenance of system through Product RTM. * ** Looking forward for your Response.
