Please let me know, If you have any suitable consultants available on the below urgent requirement Title : Infrastructure Architect Location : NY Start Date : ASAP Duration : 1-2 years F2F after initial phone screen EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 1. Bachelor degree in information technology, computer science or related field and eight to twelve years relevant experience 2. Hands-on experience with installation and deployment of new hardware equipment (servers, storage, and network) and system software (Operating System and Utilities) 3. In depth knowledge of various system infrastructure configurations such as server clustering, intra-site load balancing, fail-over replication and mirroring, and server certificates 4. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and deploying enterprise application infrastructure solutions in an environment that uses both Microsoft and Oracle technology 5. Proven experience with database technologies, especially Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle 6. Knowledge of Web development technologies, especially ASP.Net and Oracle ODI. 7. Adept in providing infrastructure evaluations and risk assessments 8. Previous work experience with SUN / Solaris, Windows Server, and HP Open view 9. Experience with patch management, upgrade and migration of system software as required 10. Familiarity with knowledge and project management tools such as Microsoft SharePoint and Project 11. Good communication (Verbal and Written) skills 12. Team player and leadership skills 13. Primary work is for the New York City Board of Education, located in Brooklyn, NY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Determine the appropriate infrastructure configuration to support the business and technology architectures for the NYCBOE SESIS project 2. The Infrastructure Architect is also responsible for SLA related to availability, reliability, performance and response time. 3. The Infrastructure Architect's domain includes responsibility for interfacing with our hosting vendor for setting up systems for clustering, load-balancing, replication, and mirroring, working out data-center level operational policies, and maintaining applications and services across various subcontractors and 4. Coordinate activities related to infrastructure setup and configuration, infrastructure asset tracking, coordinating with system and database administrators, and project managers, documentation of SOP related to IT activities. 5. Coordinate database infrastructure related work with Systems and Database Administrators 6. Work with the Technical Lead in maintaining project schedule for Technical Environment/Infrastructure, and coordinating/communicating with other work streams. 7. Work with the Solutions Strategist, Enterprise Application Integration Architect, and other technical experts in maintaining and configuring hosting environment at the data center for scalability, reliability, manageability, performance, and security. EXPECTED PERFORMANCE GOALS: 1. Perform overall management of infrastructure strategy and configuration for the TIENET implementation at the New York City Board of Education 2. Train staff that work on TIENET projects on topics related to infrastructure 3. Contribute to the profitability of customer contract 4.
