Provide quality assurance by executing testing deliverables for technology/business units. Analyze and review test design, demonstrate understanding of components being tested through test deliverables and development of core component/core application test requirements/matrices. Also provide input into test execution plan, with focus on automation of repetitive tasks. Coordinate test activities and document/report variances. Assign appropriate severity level. Provide feedback to team members, participate in project post implementation review and identify potential issues/risk that my impact project success. Coordinates and implements pre-production testing of core system components and core applications for managed desktop to mitigate risk and provide a level of confidence that a new application works synergistcially with core components. Develops and documents test plans and application matrices for each core component Determine which managed versions to test for a approriate combination represenative of a line of business or department Create and provide reports for status for SW Packaging/Distribution management and the business units Assist management to forecast and plan for needed resources. Prioritize dynamic testing workloads and work together with Lab Managers and business application UAT test schedulers to achieve objectives. Establish and maintain relationships with Test Data Managers and other team members to add value to managing the testing pipeline and inoput queues. Cultivates and maintains good working synergy with other IT departments and peer groups to promote group value Defines standard measurements for quality and customer satisfaction requirements. Develops and utilizes key performance indicators to measure and improve team processes and overall effectiveness. Assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution of both applications being tested as well as issues surrounding and impacting the test environment and its tools. Prior experience with Test Director, Quick Test Pro, or HP Quality Center Working knowledge of Novell Zenworks (Desktops req, server preferred) Position may require over-time during peak periods, or periods of 24/7 availability in an on, near, or off-site capacity (travel possible) Management responsibility of 1-2 intermediate or junior QA Testing Specialists upon growth of group *Please remember that when you submitt a candidate to me you will include there social security number.
