*Job Title: Oracle Apps DBA
Primary Location: VA
Duration: 6+ months*


*Description:*

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

Oracle Applications DBA working to support the integration and
implementation of Oracle solutions for Federal clients. Primary
responsibilities include:

   - Oracle applications DBA support - installing, upgrading and supporting
   Oracle Applications software and the associated Oracle Technology stack
   (i.e., database server, applications server, web server);
   - Performing backup and recovery; refresh and Oracle Applications and
   Database cloning activities;
   - Providing customer support by performing Level 2 and Level 3 help desk
   functions;
   - Installing patches and resolving patch installation issues related to
   the Database and applications;
   - Communicating and coordinating with Oracle support regarding TAR
   resolution for reported bugs;
   - Providing production support, troubleshooting and performance tuning;


*Required Qualifications:*

   - bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent,
   and seven to nine years of related experience.
   - Oracle Application DBA with over 2 years of experience in 11i Oracle
   Apps
   - Knowledge of underlying Oracle Applications database architecture:
   schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views,
   packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes, and
   constraints
   - At least4 years experience in Oracle DBA experience with configuration,
   load balancing, backup/recovery, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning,
   diagnostics, and proficient with the use of Oracle Enterprise Manager tool
   - Good knowledge of related technologies, especially Oracle SOA Suite,
   JAVA (JDeveloper, J2EE) and Oracle Application Server Good understanding of
   Oracle Apps cloning methodology
   - Extensive Patch Application experience (opening, managing and resolving
   Oracle TAR's)
   - Prior participation in at least one upgrade project
   - Minimum bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or
   Information Systems/Engineering.



*Desired Qualifications:*

   - Prior experience installing and administering Oracle Federal
   Financials.
   - Prior experience with Federal or DoD accounting and financial
   management clients.
