*Description: The USF system is a developed shop floor system that is used
to track the receipt, usage, variance and inventory of raw, work in process
and finished goods.
Additionally, production efficiencies are tracked as well. This system is
deployed at our Plant. The Plant manufactures carpet backing that is used by
all the carpet tufting plants.
The primary raw material for backing is petroleum based resins that are
extruded and weaved into the backing material.
The system interfaces with the PeopleSoft purchasing and inventory systems
as well as the mainframe.
Among the plans for the future are to move the manufacturing specifications
from the Shop Floor system to the centralized mainframe DB2 database.*

*Duties: Develop enhancements, maintain and modify programs that support
plant SI. *

*Skills set: Java J2EE development, Struts, DoJo, Hybernate, XML, Java
