Job Title: BI Basis Administrator
Proficiency: SAP Business Intelligence, SAP Basis
Role Description:
Client must improve its financial performance to serve citizens, business
partners, and employees more efficiently and effectively. Through the
Financial Management Modernization Initiative, they will replace legacy
mainframe systems with an advanced, Web-based core financial management
system that complies with Federal accounting and systems standards.
In support of this initiative, our client to implement mySAP ERP 2005 suite
of applications, including SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Web Application
Server, SAP Business Intelligence (BI) and SAP Process Integration (PI). SAP
modules include Financials (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials
Management(MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Funds Management
(FM).
Responsibilities:
· The BI Basis Administrator will serve as a member of the overall
Basis team but will be primarily responsible for installation,
configuration, and administration of the Business Intelligence applications.
· Plan, Analyze, Build and Test of BI sandbox, development, system
test and training environments
Assist with BI sizing efforts using SAP QuickSizer
· Familiarity with Data Warehousing Workbench and Data Source
maintenance
· Familiarity with InfoCubes, ODSObjects, InfoObjects, InfoSources
and process chains
· Serve as a central point to gather and implement BI Performance
tuning measures including Aggregates, Compression, Rollups and/or
Reconstructions
· Research and implement SAP OSS notes as required
· Serve as the primary POC for BI transports and migration
· Provide support to the BI development teams in the sandbox,
development, system test and training environments
· Prove out of SAP BI applications on hosting provider selected
RedHat Linux, VMWare and Oracle solutions
· BI Portal Federation with the USDA – FMMI Enterprise Portal
· Providing assistance to the rest of the Technical Architecture
team on team deliverables
· Documentation of build and test procedures
· Participating in team meetings
· Identifying and documenting issues and risks as needed
· Submitting weekly status reports
