*Hi: Please send the matching resumes, rate and contact number for the below requirement**.* *Please Reply to** ** [email protected]* *Oracle DBA* *Location: Washington, DC(Locals Only) Duration: 9 months Start Date: 05/04/09 * *-----------Only US CITIZENS / GC----------* * Only LOCAL CONSULTANTS / DRIVING DISTANCE* - Install, configure and maintain Oracle 9i and 10g software on IBM AIX, Sun Solaris and Red Hat Linux platforms. - Install, configure and maintain Oracle 10g RAC software on Red Hat Linux platform. - Remotely manage Production Oracle database systems. - Manage the database Oracle ASM file system on Linux platform. - Tune database parameters for optimal system performance. - Ensure proper setting of system memory and semaphore system parameters in consultation with system administrators - Create and maintain Oracle 9i and 10g databases with optimal file layout for data file, rollback, and redo objects. - Aid developers and logical DBAs in detecting performance problems including analysis of SQL, PL/SQL, and JDBC code. - Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, historical and real time performance monitoring of the Oracle 9i and 10g environments using Oracle Diagnostic and Tuning packs, and Quest Vision tool. - Provide backup and restore functions for Oracle 9i and 10g databases. Understand Database failover technologies using Varitas cluster and IBM HACMP *Skills include:* - 3 – 5 years relevant experience as a DBA in Oracle 10g in IBM AIX environment using Veritas File Systems and/or Red Hat Linux . - Experience as DBA in Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g in Red Hat Linux using ASM storage. - Oracle 10g DBA certification is required. - Relevant experience in remote management of Production database system. - Relevant experience with Oracle RAC in Red Hat Linux platform. - Relevant experience with Oracle ASM file system. - Relevant experience with RMAN for backup and recovery. - Experience with using performance analysis tools from Quest Software, Oracle, is a plus. - Experience in Grid Control is a plus. - Experience in Oracle LDAP is a plus. - Experience in Oracle Data Guard is a plus. - Experience in using OEM for job and event management is a plus. - Experience in administering databases in IBM HACMP Cluster Server failover environment is a plus.
