Description: Must be able to come in to office for in-person interview so southeast based candidates (GA, FL, AL, TN, NC, SC, TN, VA) are preferred. Duration: 6 months contract with possible extension SQL Server DBA/Developer This position requires 50% DBA and 50% development work. Skills required include: SQL Server 2000/2005 Administration DTS/SSIS T-SQL My SQL Install binaries from start to finish and do the configuration Create databases after the modeling, including tables/views/stored procedures Backup and recovery Perform Log Shipping (need to see current DETAILS of this in resume) Upgrade Databases from 2000 to new versions. Any experience with SQL Server 2008 is a plus. Large/complex company environment candidates only NOTES from previous hires in this group: They have 114 servers 2200 databases Highly transactional environment (ex. a 60 Gig DB could have up to 20,000 queries per second) In past interviews - questions regarding Error Handling, isolation and back-up strategies were asked.
