Need Local to NY & NJ area In-Person Required Senior Java Architect/ Designer Jersey City, NJ 6 Months Rate - $50/hr c2c Focus on Senior Core Java Architect/Designer with strong SQL Server or UDB skills. SSRS will be the reporting tool with Cognos or BO a secondary preference. Wall St. and strong financial experience will be a big plus. They are integrating multiple applications into one standard interface. Consultant must be local to East Coast and should be able to come for an I in person interview at short notice. Specific Responsibilities: Looking for a Senior Developer to work on two areas of a feed processing layer; they will be receiving data from 200+ feeds and building the framework to accept all data and make sure it is metadata driven. They will be integrating multiple applications into one standard interface Technical Skill Required: * Advanced Core Java skills (Web Apps) * Strong development experience where emphasis was placed on software concurrency. * Strong experience with SQL Server and/or UDB * SSRS or Business Intelligence Reporting (Cognos or Business Objects) * Websphere * Reporting Infrastructure Framework * Experience with ETL * Strong experience with UNIX/LINUX * Knowledge of Financial Products: Derivatives (Swaps, Repos, CDOs etc.) is strongly preferred. * Must have experience in large scale projects at leading Financial Services firms. * Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related * Very strong ability to solve problems independently. * Excellent communication skills.
