Title : Technical Writer
Location : Lawrenceville, NJ
Start Date : ASAP
Duration : 6 months
Responsibilities:
a.. Learn and understand the terminology of the business, technology and
company.
b.. Understand the documentation requirements, develop a documentation plan
and work with managers and engineers to develop the documentation.
c.. Work with management to identify and prioritize documentation projects.
d.. Interview architects, senior engineers and other development subject
matter experts to create and maintain documentation
e.. Work to provide error-free and technically accurate documentation that
is consistent across subject areas
f.. Drive documentation review and approval processes
g.. Work closely with various cross-functional teams throughout the
organization
h.. Work with the project sponsors to provide ideas, feedback and guidance
on creating the documentation
i.. Work independently on provided goals and hit deliverable targets
Requirements:
a.. Minimum 5 years of experience described above in job responsibilities
b.. Experience with Technical Writing on the IT side MS Word advanced
options
c.. Strong use of Visio
d.. Experience in designing technical documentation as well as the related
publishing methods
e.. Financial Services industry expertise a must
f.. Ability to read and understand deep technical documentation is a plus
g.. Experience with software development organizations is a major plus
h.. SharePoint technical writing experience is a MUST
i.. Understanding of the SDLC, Business Spec, Functional Spec, Tech Specs
