Sr. IBM Mainframe System Management Technical Support Analyst

Location: Austin, TX.

Duration : 6 Months

 

The Sr. Mainframe System Management Technical Support Analyst provides
technical support to customers. Their primary responsibility involves
interacting with customers over the phone, via email, and customer service
application tickets. Responsibilities include: Testing new release installs,
testing product fixes prior to delivering them to customers,
processing/packaging new solutions to make them customer ready, setting up
test environments for support professionals, reviewing technical
documentation, and other duties that aid in the quality of and use of these
products.

.         Solid support experience working in the IT Industry 

.         Good interpersonal skills, including verbal and written
communications

.         Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations 

.         Ability to multitask, balance priorities and a strong desire to
help people solve problems are essential.

 

Candidates must have extensive working experience with IBM Mainframe systems
and DB2 for z/OS, preferably with associated database administrative/utility
functions. Additionally it would be highly advantageous to be familiar with
DB2 Utility products and preferably hands on experience.
