Start Date Next Week *Position* *Sr. **VMS Senior System Engineer* *Business* Confidential *Location*  Philadelphia, PA. *Duration * 6+ months extendable Rate $60-65 *VMS Systems Engineer:* * This is a Six month engagement as a VMS Senior System Engineer –This candidate Will actively participate in projects and tactical initiatives while providing hands-on programming and engineering for the deployment, enhancement and ongoing support of the OpenVMS computing infrastructure (hardware and software), Once tasks are assigned requires little or no supervision. Relies on extensive experience and expert technical judgment to accomplish goals and job responsibilities. Will take direction from the VMS Systems Architect.* *Primary Responsibilities:* · Installs configures, integrates, modifies and upgrades OpenVMS operating system software and associated system level software components to maintain and enhance the OpenVMS computing infrastructure · Installs, configures, integrates, modifies and upgrades HP Alpha, and associated, hardware components and complete systems to maintain and enhance the OpenVMS computing infrastructure. · Installs, configures, integrates, modifies and upgrades disk storage and tape backup sub-systems and associated components to maintain and enhance the OpenVMS computing infrastructure. · Identifies, investigates and resolves VMS system incidents (hardware & software) enabling and supporting OpenVMS system high availability. ** *Nice to haves*: In-depth VMS Systems management experience, Ability to work independently, Strong DCL programming experience, Critical thinking and problem solving skills, Storage Area Network configuration experience -- Thank you, Niyaz Sainudeen | Infotech Valley, Inc.
