Fault & Incident Mgmt supporting Avaya Voice Devices



Seasoned professional required -- this position reports directly to the
Operations Manager with the following requirements.



- Member of the Operations support team responsible for AT&T Tier 2 and 3
technical support.

- Performs more in-depth problem determination and resolves more complex
configuration problems based on service line supported.

- Primary client interface during more complex or high severity outages.

- Responsible for understanding and reviewing action plans for planned and
unplanned changes to supported network / infrastructure.

- Updates tickets in accordance to Service Level Agreement requirements,
escalating as necessary to higher level of support based on severity. The
resolution of complex configuration issues and chronic problems may
additionally be required throughout the course of trouble resolution.

- Responsible for the management of equipment and service vendors for
break/fix and assists Operations Management in updating procedures.
Occasionally guides and mentors other team members and assists co-workers
where necessary.

- Requires in-depth working knowledge of voice premises and voice
networking, and/or VOIP concepts to support remediation/restoration of
simple to complex network issues within committed service levels. Requires
full use and application of standards, principles, theories, concepts and
techniques

- Additional knowledge in Avaya, Nortel, and Siemens to assist in the
problem solving process is very beneficial to this position.

- Position receives limited direction and is expected to function
independently.

- Deliver customer support over the phone in a professional manner.

- Serve as a liaison between vendors, customers, and other appropriate
support groups during an outage.
