Business Analyst – BW Reporting: SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Consultant who is responsible for meeting with business users and analyzing BW reporting requirements, developing detailed reporting specifications, reviewing BW data models and designs, and developing or modifying custom BW reports.
Role Description: • Design and configure BW queries and workbooks utilizing BEx functionality. • Analyze, design and configure reconciliations between BW and data sources. • Understands Consumer Packaged Goods company process and operations with a focus on the Finance functional area (Planning/forecasting, Period close, Control, etc). • Ability to translate business processes into business and technical requirements. • Proficient in BW design and architectural discipline. • The complete range of BW configuration knowledge and skills for data sources, data loads, transfer rules, update rules, data targets query and workbook, for BW 3.5, would be expected, as well as documentation skills. *Skill Sets* Required Skills: • 3-5 years Business Analyst exp with BW reporting. • Exp w/data targets query, and workbook f/BW 3.5. • Exp w/data sources, data loads. • Exp w/transfer rules, update rules. • Documentation skills required. • Ability to develop detailed documentation for BW architecture designs. • Project Management experience desired. • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. • Work well with IT and functional areas. • Communicates effectively. • Meet project deadlines, accept responsibilities, and report progress. • Proficiency in MicroSoft desktop applications. • Ensure that all project goals are accomplished according to specifications and reporting requirements. • Determine time estimates and schedules for own and dependent work and resolve issues in a timely manner. • Identify and track issues, risks and action items. • Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and related work of the project team. Develop contingency plans as necessary. • Consistently provide accurate and detailed estimates. • Execute all assigned responsibilities with little direct supervision.
