Best Practices HCM PeopleSoft Release and Configuration Management Overview:

The PeopleSoft 8.9 Best Practice Release and Configuration Management lead
will have a proven track record in planning, directing and coordinating
activities of designated projects and/or a comprehensive program, by serving
as executive representative and providing guidance to executives,
management, and individual contributors, across  the PeopleSoft development
and production support team as well as other interested parties.

This role needs in-depth understanding of PeopleSoft Change Management and
Release Management. This role will document, advise, status and strategize
both management and technical issues to ensure that specified goals are
accomplished within prescribed time frames, funding parameters and project
objectives.

The client environment is a large telecommunications organization undergoing
a consolidation of numerous PeopleSoft HR \ Payroll instances resulting from
mergers and acquisitions.  The final platform will be a single PeopleSoft
8.9, Oracle, Linus environment.

The successful candidate will perform primary responsibilities personally or
through matrixed supervisors, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and
other project personnel. He/she must demonstrative a successful track record
supervising internal and external teams.

Experience technical project planning, execution strategy, issue escalation,
and project communications

Daily Responsibilities:*

Release management process review and improvement

Monitoring, reporting and advisement on development and computing
environment change control processes

Collaborative estimating, budgeting and engineering of customizations or
removal of customization with development team

Advise on configuration management practices and approaches for all
development, test, training, and production environments and the underlying
components

Advise on production support requirements, procedures, and approaches for
all environments and support organizations

Review and recommend production control and monitornig tools, processes,
procedures and benchmarks

Participation in preconstruction and planning reviews

Involvement in process for preparing project documents

Recommending necessary project controls and management tools

Provide quality assurance practices

Monitor construction coordination

Review, status, and optimize the overall system and performance test
approach

Advise on use of tools used during the development cycle to gain
efficiencies or higher levels of quality for the team

Identify, report, and escalate project risks

Report on progress of development process

Participate in problem solving sessions

Coordinate with other best practice consultants to gain synergies



 *Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

3+ years experience in PeopleSoft Change Management/Release Management

3+ years Experience in development, Support, testing and upgrading of
PeopleSoft HCM Payroll applications

3+ years experience with PeopleSoft architecture (PIA, Application Server,
Process Scheduler)

1-3 years experience in a production support of PeopleSoft HCM

Experience planning production support and change control procedures for

Demonstrates the ability to status multi-phased, large team, decentralized
team activities

Demonstrates high-level of written and oral communication in the English
language
