an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) Job Description : As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the delivery/implementation of Oracle and Oracle patches for 9i, 10g, 11g. Position responsibilities include. Facilitate and actively participate in DBA activities through all phases of the system development life cycle, to include Requirements Gathering & Analysis, System Design and Development, Testing, Implementation, and Maintenance. Assist, coach, and mentor other engagement team members on issues they may encounter in the design and implementation of solutions. - Develop and adhere to project standards to ensure the delivery of quality client deliverables. Interface with middle and senior level executives at the client site to develop client "buy in" and support, develop business implementation strategies, formulate project plans, and address specific issues that may arise during an Oracle implementation. Participate in client discussions and assessments of hardware, software and network requirements needed to support implementation of Oracle Database. Assist client in the configuration and implementation of hardware and software, to include installation and configuration of Oracle Database 11g. Perform client in the administration of the Server 2003 and Red Hat Linux operating system (OS) and trouble shooting of OS and network configuration Required Skills : * Excellent leader ship skills and must be able to work in a team environment. * Demonstrated the capability to seek out process improvements for both themselves and the team. * Ability to work in a Government environment as part of a multi- contractor team. * Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation. * Ability to work independently or within a team environment. * Strong problem solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. * Demonstrated excellent oral and written presentation skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Extensive experience in programming in different environments (SQL, Unix Shell Scripting). * Experience with Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g . * Extensive experience architecting enterprise-wide solutions. * Active TS/SCI clearance with current SSBI required (no exceptions!).
