*We have an immediate need for consultants with the following skills. * *If you are currently available and would like more information please contact me at your convenience.* *Req #1:* *Position: *IBM/DB2 AIX consultant *Level: *Intermediate *Location: *DC Area *Duration: *3 months *Rate: *Negotiable, All Inclusive *Description/Required Skills:* **US Citizens Only* - AT LEAST 3 years experience working with DB2 on AIX V8.2 and/or V9 - Certifications required: IBM Certified Advanced Database Administrator on DB9 for Unix - Very desirable certifications: IBM Certified Solution Developer for Dynamic Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence - AT LEAST 2 years experience working with DPF databases - Good troubleshooting and problem determination skills - Logical and physical data modeling skills with data warehouse design - Perform Optimization of data layout within containers and across physical disk subsystem - Review/Analyze impacts to Application modifications - Perform and assist in the analysis and optimization of SQL calls and their indexes - Automate DB2 product, schema, and configuration installations and alterations via vendor and/or industry standard packaging tools (installp, rpm). - Perl scripting, in shell scripting using Korn shell, sed, and awk, a MUST - Experience with ERWIN modeling tool a must Req # 2: *Position: *IT Interface planning and engineering support Consultant *Level: *Intermediate *Location: *DC Area *Duration: *3 months *Rate: *Negotiable, All Inclusive *Description/Required Skills:* **US Citizens Only* Provide external interface planning and engineering support. Job entails coordination, planning and engineering efforts to include: 1. Defines and baselines ACE environment modification to support new external interface capability development. Modifications could include MQ definitions and associated application changes, AMS/ABI processing (EDI) definition and engineering, or technology refreshes. 2. Creates external interface engineering designs and documentation which includes: environment drawings, HW/SW mappings, network configurations, logical and physical operational models, COTS configuration specifications, operational support artifacts for legacy connectivity and MQ connectivity design and integration. 3. Ensures on-time delivery to the users by managing and resolving deployment and operation dependencies including change request management,configuration management, and asset management. 4. Ensures high quality delivery through independent verification of environment infrastructure and completion criteria establishment & verification. 5. Liaison and coordination between AST and the customer to support the co-owned and integrated external interfaces. 6.
