Database Administrator * Day-to-day operations of fast-paced complex distributed database environments supporting few data warehouse environments * Performance tuning at the database level * SQL and PL/SQL tuning * Review and recommendation of logical design * Converting logical to physical design * Backup and recovery (RMAN and traditional) * On-call support * 4+ years of Oracle DBA experience on Unix/Linux * Experience with 10g for at least 1 to 2 years on Unix/Linux * Extensive experience in data guard, advanced replication * Strong working knowledge of Oracle DBA best practices (e.g., schema management, index optimization, and use of hints) * Strong query and database tuning skills * Experience in a 24X7 production environment * Capacity monitoring and management capabilities * Experience with terabyte databases * Extensive experience with high-volume OLTP database systems * Extensive UNIX shell scripting, PLSQL, and SQL skills * Fast troubleshooting and resolution skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities * Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with DBA and application teams * BS in computer science or related field Thank you, DBA FYI Center http://dba.fyicenter.com/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ORACLE DWH DBA" group.
