SQL Developer Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Create complex database queries, indexes, and stored procedures. * Investigating/resolving DB performance issues * Support SW development engineers that reference DB's in their code * Maintaining and Administrating SQL databases (production, development, QA) * Writing and maintaining DB productivity tools * Assist Senior DBA in administration of servers and databases. * Writing diagnostic tools to check integrity in Databases. * Document and maintain database system specifications, including diagrams and connectivity charts. * Monitor SQL Servers for excessive loads and contention that may impact performance. * Oversee performance tuning, including server profiling and index tuning. * Remain proficient with current and future SQL Server technology. * Test and plan upgrades to the SQL Server environment. * Develop, test and administer database security procedures and recovery procedures. * Completes other projects as assigned Internal Responsibilities: * Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. * Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program. * Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. * Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts. * Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. * Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. * Participates in the internal controls self- assessment process. * Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management. Minimum Knowledge, Competencies & Qualifications: * BS Computer Science or related area * 3 years experience doing SQL Server programming * Database Architecture and Design * Database configuration management (replication) * Written and verbal communications skills * Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team * Aptitude for problem solving * Detail oriented and very organized * Self starter with little supervision * Knowledge of Microsoft .Net technology a plus.
