Mandatory SQL Server DBA Skills: * College degree in the field of computer science, MIS or other 4 year information technology degree * 7+ years overall IT experience, with 5+ years on SQL Server 2000, 2005 and possibly 2008 * 5 years of database performance tuning, especially SQL tuning * 3 years experience with backups & disaster recovery * 24x7 production support experience * 5 years experience with T-SQL, BCP, DTS and SSIS development * 5 years experience in setting up SQL Server Log Shipping and Replication Experience in the following areas is a plus: * Worked with 100GB+ SQL Server databases * Windows batch file scripting * Familiar with MS Analysis Services and business intelligence * Certifications such as MCDBA or MCITP would be a plus! · Development DBA experience · Other RDMS platforms · Worked in clustered SQL Server environments Other qualities prefered: * EXCELLENT communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to work well with others in a team environment * Willing to carry on-call cell-phone/pager (on-call rotation is one week every six weeks) Thank you, DBA FYI Center http://dba.fyicenter.com/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ORACLE DWH DBA" group.
