The successful candidate will provide support in design/testing/validation
efforts for systems that support OASSIS. The candidate will be performing
these activities and maintain applications for the Social Security
Administration under the direction of the Technical Lead and Project
Management.
Skills Requirements:
Developer – Mainframe Cobol/DB2/CICS
Required Qualifications:
have strong COBOL programming skills and experience with COBOL source code
generation
have experience with advanced DB2 concepts (e.g., nested expressions and
DTT)
have strong CICS programming skills
have experience with coding JCL streams
have some experience with CyberFusion/Connect:Direct file transfer
be able to work with Endevor, DB2 utilities, FileAid, and Xpediter
have strong analytical and problem solving skills in COBOL/DB2
have the ability to quickly grasp and understand complicated mainframe
systems
have excellent written and verbal communication skills
be able to work independently or on a team
be able to work in a fast paced environment
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in WebFocus programming
The successful candidate will provide support in design/testing/validation
