If you answered YES to all these questions, Value-Add Consulting Inc has the position to kick start your career! * * *This is a contractual opportunity, which is PERFECT for System Engineer* *Role: System Engineer/ Windows System Administrator* Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 12 months No of spots: 3 *Rate: $30/hr BEST* Technical Skills: 1. Experience working in a 24x7 production environment supporting critical real-time applications 2. Proved leadership and cross-group collaboration skills 3. Working knowledge of SCOM, SQL, IIS, W2K3 4. A willingness to work in a shift environment providing 7x24x365 support with the possibility of on-call 5. Excellent customer service, strong interpersonal communication skills, and effective written/oral communication skills 6. Highly motivated self starting individual contributor capable of working closely and effectively within a team that has fast pace demands 7. Knowledge of methods for testing networking connectivity, vlan saturation, etc. from host based tools 8. Microsoft failover cluster knowledge Education and Requirements: * Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred Competencies: 1. Dealing with Ambiguity - You will have the ability to manage multiple projects and define your environment with minimal direction 2. Communication Skill - Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams and communicate complex issues effectively at all levels of the organization 3. Systems Knowledge - You will have an in-depth technical knowledge in a specific subset of either networking, SQL, IIS, or W2k3 operating systems and general working knowledge for the other areas. The ability to do basic hardware setup, installation of software, general trouble shooting, and analysis of performance bottlenecks is expected.
