Responsibilities include: · Collaborate on database schema designs. · Create APIs usable across applications. · Build applications following department conventions for documenting code. · Collaborate with staff to produce client requirements, application specifications, test plans, and any support materials. · Conduct quality control testing on own work. · Participate in quality control review of others' work. · Track and fix bugs. · Act as customer liaison as needed. *Job Requirements* 3-5 years experience in web-applications development is required, preferably with PHP. Must have documented ability to deliver working products. * Expertise in the following areas is required: * · Server-side web-application programming, preferably with multiple languages (e.g., PHP, Java, .NET, JavaScript) and in multiple frameworks. · JavaScript (have a strong understanding of both the language itself and its DOM bindings in the most popular web browsers). · SQL (preferably but not necessarily with MySQL). · HTML, XML, CSS. Experience in the following areas is a plus: · PHP 4 or 5 · CVS · XHR (AJAX) · Programming in a context other than web-application development. · Experience with different programming languages and different programming paradigms (e.g., procedural, object-oriented, functional, etc.).
