 Seeks a Performance Test Engineer to design and develop tools that test the
functionality of *Cisco products, validating quality* and stability from a
   system perspective that emulates customer environments. With
responsibility for ensuring that Cisco maintains its reputation as a
producer of high-quality software, you will have direct impact on the
company's bottom line. The ideal candidate possesses broad knowledge of many
different technologies, including software test regression, automation, and
is familiar with *Tcl, ATS, etc., (Earms is a plus)*, as well as a total
system perspective and a working knowledge of how networking devices
interoperate. Successful candidate will participate and work closely with
developers at various stages fspec, design reviews to develop testplans,
tools and utilities. Will write detail feature testplans, Design Test bed
design, test topologies.

Responsibilities include the following:
- Design & *write test cases reflecting the scalability* limits with a good
understanding of the Intersection Analysis of the features supported by the
router.
- Execute the Scalability and *Performance Testcases* as per the testplan
and share the results with the team on a release to release basis
- Support the development team in debugging issues by isolating the issues
and finding the root cause
- Complete automated regression scripts for the *Performance test plan.*
- Develops test tools and scripts to scale the router in the most efficient
and optimal way
- Contribute to project plan prior to EC (e.g. schedules, equipment
needs/costs, strategy, partner coordination for testing, stress &
performance objectives)
- Demonstrate ability to successfully influence win-win cross-functional
dynamics
- This position requires an individual who is motivated and self directed,
yet one who is also a team player who can influence across the board.
- Publish white papers to share with the BU on the performance and
scalability limits of the next generation router on every major and minor
release
