This includes all manner of dept and financing products from corporate bonds and currencies to asset backed securities and everything in between. In addition to providing this service to the Fixed Income Business internally, FID IT also provides Research and Trading technology to clients of the Fixed Income Business. This enables our clients to leverage the technical and business expertise of our firm to achieve their capital management and investment goals. FID IT use a wide spectrum of technologies in the development of business solutions including languages such as C++, C#, .Net and Java; database technologies such as Oracle, Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server, and operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, UNIX and LINUX. There are positions in FID IT for a wide variety of skill sets from technical expertise in the technologies mentioned above, to Business Analysis positions requiring excellent written communication skills and strong fundamental business understanding. US Fixed Income Risk Delivery group is responsible for the creation and maintenance of several real-time front office pricing and risk applications. In addition, the group is responsible for the systems that generate risk information used by other clients supporting front office. Furthermore, the group creates systems used by other IT groups for generating risk on behalf of their users. We seek a strong lead developer that will focus on the delivery of our next generation real time risk platform. This risk platform will consume trading, position and market data from a variety of sources and provide valuations / pnl using both standard and bespoke models. The system will also provide end of day risk and pnl valuations for downstream systems for the purposes of risk and pnl management. Utilizing strong programming skills, this role will play a key role in meeting the demand from the business for building out a real time risk systems. In addition to these primary development responsibilities, the role also involves proposing proactive enhancements to overall performance/stability of the IRP Risk environment. The developer will be expected to follow SDLC principles and work independently as well as in a team to solve complex technical problems. Looking for a strong independent developer with at least 5 years programming experience in C# and C++ (server side) as well as Java experience ( J2EE a plus ). The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, good organization skills and able to work well in a team environment. Intermediate Unix experience required.Master's Degree required Previous experience with Risk Systems desired C# Application Development 5+ years req'd C++ 5+ years experience, ideally including STL req'd Unix Shell scripting (csh/ksh) req'd Multi-threaded programming req'd Understanding of Fixed Income Business (including but limited to Government / Agency Bond Trading Repo • Fixed Income Derivatives Ability to quickly grasp complex systems. Ability to efficiently and independently diagnose and resolve complex problems. Ability to work on own initiative, without close supervision.
