Our client needs a Senior J2EE Architect/Developer* *for a long term contract position in Tallahassee, FL
*Location:* Tallahassee, FL *Duration:* 6+ months extendable contract position *Rate: US$37/hr * *SKILLS NEEDED*: - Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories of software development techniques and systems design as well as the ability to recognize, analyze and determine alternatives and take action to correct problem areas. - 7 years experience as a web developer with strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Servlets, JSP, EJB, HTML, XML, SQL Server 2000 and/or DB2. - 5 years experience working with J2EE architecture and patterns. - Experience with Java, J2EE and one or more MVC frameworks such as Struts & Spring. - Experience with web and application servers such as WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, Glassfish. - Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and web services. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs, and work under tight deadlines. - Ability to provide assistance for team members in the development and implementation of business solutions. - Ability to interface with other IT divisions or customers to provide technical expertise. - Ability to troubleshoot J2EE production issues. - Proven experience as a Technical Lead on large-scale software implementations with design and hands-on development of J2EE Enterprise software - Experience with system development methodologies, tools, and techniques. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Requires the ability to work shifts outside normal hours, including weekends as requested. - Requires the ability to support both planned and unplanned events. - Project management experience. - Insurance Industry experience is a plus but not needed - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Thanks & Regards *Kristina* *I.T.
