*Sr. Project Manager Position* *Washington DC*
*Minimum 6 months* *AARP* * * * * Very high-level sr. position. Person should have been at the director level in the past. Will report to the VP of Social Impact Technology. Will have no direct reports, this is an advisory role. Must be able to organize a long-term strategic initiative, have very good business acumen. Must be experienced in the online web space and it's technologies. Up to date on the latest trends in these technologies. Must be able to organize project cost estimates. Not your typical PM. This person will be focused on capturing and enhancing engagement of client members and non-members in the Social Impact agenda, including Education & Outreach, Volunteerism, Advocacy and Fundraising activities through online channels. This person will work with the IT Management and Social Impact business customers to enhance the online strategy of the organization. Must have Strategic Vision and be able to develop a Governance Structure around the online program management and buy-in from business customers, IT management and other stakeholder groups; Implement the governance structure and coordinate steering committee and working group meetings. Will work with IT Project Managers in defining the detailed implementation plan for the specific projects targeted for 2010 delivery as part of the strategy. Must be able to define Project Scope / High Level Requirements, provide project benefits, project schedules and budgets. Will coordinate with other IT strategic initiative leads to share dependencies and overlaps and develop recommendations for scope, approach, integration and delivery resolution. Needs to be able to develop a Communications Strategy and Plan to share the ongoing program status updates with business customers, IT management and other stakeholder groups. Work with individual project managers to track progress of all projects and develop overall project report including updates on Project Status, Scope, Schedule, Budget, Issues and Risks etc. Will work with the Technology teams and advise on the technical architecture and technology stack and platforms to use for the online engagement strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a very strong technical background and be abreast of the latest social media and web technologies and act as a strategic advisor in these areas. This is a very senior level opportunity which requires Director level experience in the past.
