Database Admin



The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to…

* Perform system optimization and improvement planning including but
not limited to SQL Server database performance analysis, capacity
planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance/tuning ensuring
maximum performance

* Create and maintain maintenance scripts for databases design and
implementation, and participate in the disaster recovery process and
database backups.

The accomplished individual will demonstrate progressive experiences
in:

* Database architecture, open systems architecture, SQL, and client
server technology

* The support of large databases, including, but not limited to,
monitoring, re-indexing, general database maintenance, extract-
transformation-load, backup/recovery, documentation, and configuration

* Clustering, data replication, transaction log shipping ,database
mirroring, hands on knowledge with MS SQL SERVER

* Abilities in data modeling, store procedures coding, and debugging

* An understanding of transaction processing and data warehousing
concepts

An outstanding professional will possess…

* A degree in Information Systems or related experience

* 1-3 years experience as a Microsoft SQL Server database
administrator

* Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005/2008

* Microsoft Certification for a SQL Database Administrator- preferred

* Exposure to Oracle- preferred

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, and
Powerpoin
