*Candidate must possess all the skills…..*
*ROLE:* Data Modeler (Data model as a primary job and a preference for
someone that has DB2 DBA experience as well).
*Location:* Austin, TX
*Duration:* 9 months to 1 year
*REQUIRED SKILLS:*
• Design and development of medium to large enterprise logical data models
• Experience working with the development team to understand requirements
and develop data models
• Tune data model
· Based on database vendor specific implementations
· Ability to identify potential performance issues during design
and validate performance while completing design
• Using industry standard data modeling tools and related tasks such as:
- Periodic delivery of data model diagram
- Maintain an up to date data dictionary that reflects the model
• Ability to independently work towards organizing and rolling out large
sets of database design to the environments

*PREFERRED SKILLS: *
• DB2 on IBM AIX database operations including both logical and
physical DBA activities
• Use of Infosphere Data Architect (previously Rational Data
Architect)
• Developing data warehouse designs
• Data ETL processes
• Managing database configuration management and tools if any
used
*Technical Environment:* WebSphere Application Server suite and DB2 running
on AIX
*Project:* A multi-year Incremental Renewal of a child support system that
will be built on a Services Oriented Architecture replacing the mainframe
application over the course of the incremental renewal.
