Position: Teradata DBA Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 6 Months Job Description: Responsibilities for this role include: - Delivers and supports physical database structures for application development efforts. - Incorporates the new physical database structures into the existing database environments - Ensures that physical database structures conform to existing data standards and the Global Data Warehouse Architecture. - Supports, designs and builds Teradata components - Contribute Teradata expertise to architecture and approach exercises to maintain consistency and standardization within the business intelligence environment. - Assist and support analysis and data discovery activities in profiling and documenting quality of source data to be used with the warehouse. - Support testing, migration and production project lifecycle phases by providing teradata development and support. - Minimum 5 years overall IT Experience. - Strong problem-solving skills in complex, multi-vendor computing environments. - Solid oral and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences. - Must be self motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills, especially in driving consensus among other technical resources. - Ability and desire to work within a cross-functional team environment with people from multiple business units, vendors, countries and cultures. - 5+ years experience as a Teradata Database Administrator - 5+ years developing and tuning Teradata database SQL queries, views, stored procedures and table/index objects in Teradata - 2+ years experience with Microstrategy. -- ********************** RAGHU RAM Staffing - Manager ConfiMinds, LLC. www.confiminds.com--
