Database Developer Responsibilities: Design and development of stored procedures Design and maintenance of DTS / SSIS packages Development of new features, applications, and reporting solutions Assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency Assist in client support and trouble shooting Performance tuning of indexes and stored procedures Work with business units gathering system specifications and design technical processes Requirements: Skills Required: Fundamental knowledge of SQL Server architecture, relational database concepts and SQL A solid understanding of physical data modeling, database design principals, programming, and a system development lifecycle Experience with TSQL and Stored Procedure development and troubleshooting Experience with MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005 tools, including use of Query Analyzer, stored procedures, DTS, SSIS, Jobs and Profiler Understanding of XML helpful Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication skills required; ability to interact with multiple levels of personnel within the organization and externally.
