Job Title: Business Consultant Location: San Francisco, CA (LOCALS TO CA ONLY) Duration: 6-18 Months Rate : Open Job Description: Request for 2 Business Consultants to work for a 6 to 18 month assignment ( potential permanent slots) to provide ongoing support to the Engineers on all projects, by providing key analysis, documentation, modeling, specifications, process development, consistent communication, management of tasks and PPEM-only activities and projects. Minimum Qualifications: . Experience developing and documenting business and technical process . Extensive experience with development organization and knowledge of SDLC definition and governance . Experience with organizational change initiatives . Experience mapping current and future state business process models .Skills with all MS office (including visio) products, proven ability in creating quick/small presentations Preferred Qualifications: . Former programming background . Project management background/skills . Experience working with offshore teams . Experience with RUP or Agile frameworks/methodologies . Proficiency in IBM Rational products such as Rose, ReqPro, ClearCase and ClearQuest .Experience in eliciting systems requirements This contractor will act as a liaison between Configuration Management Build and Release, Tools team, other Technical Shared Services teams, Development and QA to identify configuration management process, roles and responsibilities throughout the Configuration management discipline within the SDLC. The contractor will represent CM in cross-functional platform meetings and planning sessions and help drive process and quality improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce the cost of build and release services for assigned platforms Responsibilities Include: . Define, document, and maintain Configuration Management standards and procedures for assigned ISD platforms; this includes branch and merge management, configuration item identification and version control, baseline management, and governance . Analyze problems uncovered during the execution of CM Discipline tasks, and propose impactful solutions for implementation . Evaluate tools and techniques to determine suitable automation for platform CM activities and make recommendations on their implementation and use . Publish process documentation, release schedules, build status and configuration details .
