I wanted to check with you to see if you have any consultants available that have ever been involved in a project that involved converting XLSM spreadsheets to XLS format. We have a client that uses SAP and because of this it sends out certain spreadsheets as XLSM which can’t be opened by our client’s field staff when they are using their blackberry’s or laptops outside of their corporate office. Some of the open source tools we looked at don’t really do a good job of converting from XLSM to XLS thus making the XLS document not match the XLSM from an appearance and data prospective. Please let me know if any of your consultants have been involved in a reporting project or something similar where they had to write a program or used an effective tool to convert XLSM to XLS. This would be a small project but I wanted to check with you in case you had someone on the bench that had this experience and would be interested in a short project that could be most likely done remote.
