Please submit to [email protected] *Title: Senior Java/Java script/JSP UI Engineer Location: San Jose, CA* *(Locals Preff)* Duration: 6 Months Seeking a *senior Java/Javascript/JSP UI Engineer* to contribute to the development of Cisco Security Monitoring Analysis Response System (MARS) product suite for monitoring end-to-end network security on all Cisco devices including Routers, Switches and Security Appliances (PIX, ASA, IPS, etc). This product also monitors other 3rd party’ security products such as Snort, Oracle application, Netscreen IDP, etc. The team provides excellent opportunity for our engineers to master not only basic networking skills but also in-depth network security technologies such as Security Correlation, Mitigation, Firewall and IPS. In this role, you will be part of a highly driven, talented and diverse engineering team and a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include: * Sustain and enhance MARS UI for device support, rule table, queries/reports etc.. * Investigate, debug, propose solution and resolve customer cases that are escalated to the BU * Contribute to improving MARS software quality, performance and scalability * Perform thorough unit testing for the features added or defects fixed * Write clear documentation for software design and functional specification Required skills: * Experience of UI development in *Jboss and Linux environment* * Strong hands-on programming experience with *Java, JSP and javascript technologies* * Solid experience working with and quickly understanding large bodies of existing code * Commitment to customer success * Be able to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements and tasks * Be able to work independently * Strong sense of teamwork, be quality-oriented, self-starter, and a team player * Strong oral and written communication skills Optional skills: * Broad-based network security knowledge/experience (Firewall, IDS/IPS, NAC, VA, end-system security, etc.) * Hands on experience with any RDBMS (preferably ORACLE) is a plus BS with 4-6 years or MS with 2-4 years of relevant experience in the areas listed above.
