Database Engineer Job Description: * Responsible for software development/engineering, including software specification, design, implementation, test, and documentation * Monitor, administer, and implement performance tuning on database systems as well as database performance optimization, developing/ changing database indices, redesigning database structure and reloading data into a database. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree with at least three (3) years experience as a Database Engineer in developing relational database software and experience with one or more relational database products. Preferred Additional Skills: * Database engineering experience. * Experience with data modeling for physical, as well as, logical models. * Experience in all areas of database architecture. * Demonstrated ability to document processes. * Oracle procedural language (PL/SQL) knowledge and experience. * Ability to respond to crises objectively.
