Position: Lead Business Object Consultant
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Minimum Experience / Relevance
o Atleast 9-10 years of overall IT
o 2 ) Minimum 3 implementation Experience
o Atleast 1-2 Years in Support is desired
o 4) 5-6 Years of relevant BO experience
Skills (Mandatory)
o Very Strong in Business Objects Suite ( Versions : 6.X, XI R1, R2,
R3,Application Foundation, Dashboard Manager, Xcelsius)
o BO SDK
o Good in Universe design and resolve any complexities
o Back-end (Oracle or SQL Server or Teradata, atleast strong in any is
Must)
o Good de-bugging skills at the Front-end / Back-end.
o Good exposure to Data Modeling
o Involved in Migrations and Upgrades
o Exposure to other OLAP tools
o Debugging / Trouble shooting of BO Reports
Skills (Optional)
BO Installation, Administration & Configuration
Knowledge
Security (LDAP, SSO, Directory Servers etc)
Meta data Management
Data modeling
Data Quality
ETL Tools (Informatica etc)
Roles & Responsibilities
o Understand business needs and be able to translate them into a
technical solution
o Analyze as-is application and reporting landscape
o Understand business requirements
o Understand data flow and source systems
o Leading technical teams in the architecture of enterprise level
solutions.
o To demonstrate experience in delivering multi-server solutions within
large organizations.
o Help the team in providing solutions for complex logics.
o Design Business Rules Logic
o Performing Code Review with industry known best practices
o Communicate the technical benefits of all Business Objects and OLAP
technology
o Communicate clearly through verbal and written channels including
progress and issues
o Estimate work effort and deliver to schedule
o Strong presentation and management meeting skills to all levels of the
business
o Deliver solutions to complex issues and mentor / direct the team
accordingly.
o Preparing test/quality strategies, plans for meeting the CTQs of the
project
