IT Director - Server and Database Administration

Lead and direct multiple projects managing large teams and monitoring
progress Create, apply, and require the gathering and reporting for
key metrics Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Service oriented approach to
address technology issues and solutions. Able to keep technical
solution in context to the business need Knowledge and experience
managing Unix, Linux, Windows and AS/400 operating systems, as well as
a managerial background around storage, backup/recovery, messaging
systems and application technologies Team player with a high level of
ownership and urgency Ability to effectively communicate technical
ideas both verbally and in writing Able to stay current with
technology; assessing, adopting, adapting where significant benefits
are possible Strong skills and a broad understanding around project
management, technology architecture, problem solving, contract
management, financial management and IT best practices Broad
understanding of leading industry technologies with a strong knowledge
around IT governance, project planning, and the technological usage/
alternatives available in a multi-platform environment Excellent
communication and interpersonal and consultative skills to work
effectively with vendors, clients, peers and IT management and staff
Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
required. Master’s Degree a plus Must have 7-10 years of increasing
management experience in an IT infrastructure, server technologies, or
related technology discipline Previous experience with contract,
vendor and financial management within a dynamic, aggressive growth
company. The preference is for previous experience building, managing,
and forecasting technology budgets of at lest $1M per year Experience
with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is a plus ITIL framework familiarity
and experience is a plus Knowledge of third-party logistics,
transportation systems, and/or warehouse management systems a plus
