Location: Cranston, RI Duration: long term contract Must have BOTH IBM AS400 and S390 Mainframe experience as well as hands on programming in both COBOL and CICS. Sr. Programmer - Develop and maintain mission critical unemployment insurance applications, specifically application development funded by supplemental budget requests (grants) for the US Dept of Labor. Applications are developed using COBOL and CICS on an IBM AS400 and S390 Mainframe. In addition this individual will support application development for continuation of benefits, clean claims processing, UI sides, Wage Record, Automation of mass filings, automation of TRA, automation of the Workshare Program and AS400 to UI migration testing. Must have 10 + years work experience on IBM/AS400 Iseries, etc., designing, developing and deploying business applications using COBOL, DB2, SQL, CL, OCL, SDA, APPC in the native and S/36 environments including working knowledge of AS/400 security and user profiles, printing, spooling, file, data management, etc. Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must possess an understanding of data encryption and FTP protocols. Candidate must have a working knowledge of MS/Office. Knowledge of government systems is helpful.
