This is a 2-3 month contract. The candidate should be a *Cognos expert who
is also very strong with SQL*. Those are the 2 keys.

*SENIOR BI*
**
**The ideal candidate must have recent hands-on, full life cycle experience
with Cognos and/or MicroStrategy. The person must have a strong Oracle
background and is capable of end-to-end delivery including requirements
verification, gap analysis, ETL validation and build presentation framework
using Cognos or Microstrategy BI Platform. Must understand Financial Data
and have experience in a fast paced, right time business intelligence
environment designing, developing and supporting quality, time sensitive and
accurate multi-dimensional information is a plus.
The candidate will be expected to contribute to the BI Model, help stream
line near real time ETL, and develop complex, reusable reports based on OLAP
models. Candidates must be capable of writing data validation scripts and
test ETL processing in PL/SQL, Shell or Perl for data load purposes in an
Oracle environment to pull data from multiple sources. In addition, he/she
will write *Error Processing* handling in a data warehouse environment.
*Required Skills & Experience: *
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Seven to nine years of Cognos BI application development, testing and
change management experience with Cognos BI or Microstrategy products.
- Extensive experience with Oracle SQL and relational databases,
particularly writing complex SQL-PLSQL to validate reports and tuning
Reports to SQL query performance.
- Must understand financial data
- Create complex reports (ex: drill down reports) using cursors and
multi-dimensional objects
- Must have OLAP cubes and MDX Queries experience
- Solid work experience with data warehouse functions and ETL concepts to
include experience with dimensional and relational data modeling.
- Critical Thinking, Analytical and Information Presentation experience
using Cognos or MicroStrategy BI Platform.
- Methodical and be able to devise strategies to make sense out of mounds
of data
- Prototype, design and develop Cognos Presentation layer
including* *models,
reports and cubes.
- Experience with BI end users production support.
- Must be proficient in Windows and Unix Environment and experience with
shell scripts, Java or Perl.
- Perform detailed documentation of design, development, testing and
deployment activities.
- Administer installation, configuration, and software upgrades of Cognos
or Microstrategy applications.
- Excellent Communication, Documentation and working with fast paced
cross functional teams is required
- Support migration of Cognos models, reports and cubes from
one development, QA, Stage to Production environment.
- Maintain source/version control for Cognos models, reports and cubes.
- Work with Cognos Support to monitor, update, track, resolve and close
tickets.
- Logical thinker who can work well in teams as well as individually.

· Collaborate with the BIBA and BDA to resolve gaps between the

- Provide traceability document to ensure source data is aligned to
requirements.
- Reverse engineer the source systems, model in ER Studio, publish the
DDL for implementation in Teradata and provide metadata for source/target
mappings.
- Produce data model solutions meeting technical specifications and

Seeking a resource proficient in AppliedOLAP’s Dodeca product. Should be
proficient in creaking workbook templates, view configurations, workbook
scripts, SQL, advanced Excel, and a working knowledge of Essbase cubes.
Dodeca will be integrating several disparate Essbase cubes and SQL data
sources into a single application so strong Dodeca workbook templates and
workbook script experience required.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop Dodeca reports and related ESSBase design development tasks as
assigned within the following general areas:
• Item level Detail supplemental screens
• Item Exceptions
• Item Retails by Price Zone
• Additional Item Detail
• ESP Items Changed
• KMA Department Recap

Skills required:
1. 5+ years of experience in SharePoint Administration. Architect
and Development,
a. Need to have at least 1 year of SharePoint 2007
experience,
b. Experience with enterprise wide Sharepolnt deployments
including 1 project with SharePoint MOSS 2007 deployment.
2. 5+ years working with Active Directory
3. Experience must include SharePoint 2007 Architecture, extensive
systems integration, securing and managing a SharePoint 2007 environment.
4. Must have experience building, maintaining and troubleshooting
Windows 2003/2008 environments.
5. Experience with DNS and IP addressing
6. Must have experience with MS SQL Server 2005.
a. Experience with MS SQL Server 2008 is preferred.
Soft skills need to include:
1. HIGH preference for local candidates.
