Job Title : Network engineer Location : NYC.NY Duration : 12+Months contract MUST have design and implementation skills, very good communication skills. *4-6 years of experience as a network engineer with hands-on Cisco IP Routing/Switching design and implementation. *Working knowledge of IP routing protocols, network security concepts and load-balancing methods. *Experience with financial services is a plus. Required Education and/or Certifications: *Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree. *Any of the following a plus: CCNP, CCDP, CCIP, CCDE, CCIE *ITILv3 Type of Work and Required Skills: *Network Engineer with experience working with a large complex LAN/WAN infrastructures. *Ability to understand business requirements and convert those business requirements into technical specifications and ultimately a detailed network design. *Ability to work as part of a larger team and present designs during peer review sessions. *Ability to communicate ideas, concepts and solutions in a clear concise manner. *Experience with both LAN and WAN infrastructures including service provider MPLS WAN experience. *Experience installing, supporting and maintaining network infrastructure. *Candidate’s leadership skills must show independence and an ability to work on their own and be self-motivated. *Strong verbal and written communication skills. *Attention to detail when documenting designs and network configurations. *Hands on experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco hardware, IP Routing and Switching. *Cisco IP Load Balancing and working knowledge of IP Firewalls. *Excellent communication skills and outstanding problem solving ability. *The candidate has to be task oriented, manage multiple streams of completing work concurrently.
