* * Position: QA Tester - Lead Location: Houston, TX Duration: 3+ months *Should be local to TX* *MUST HAVE LoadRunner, QTP, HP QUALITY CENTER. 5 + yrs* *Summary:* Looking for a highly competent expert in testing methods, automated script development, testing methods, issue/defect analysis and reporting. This person will be responsible for conducting and leading the following type of tests: - Regression, compatibility, functional, performance, system integration and interface 5+ yrs of creating test scripts from Business Requirements and Processes, Test Scenarios and/or Test Cases. Skilled in creating test plans, using web based QA test applications, identifying and reporting defects, and code/technical analysis and troubleshooting. *Position Requirements* As part of the QA Staff, you will be working with a group of dedicated individuals responsible for more than just QA. QA Testers serve as Subject Matter Experts and may conduct various types of analysis (special and analytic investigation, requirements decomposition, etc). As a Lead Tester you will assist the QA Manager in implementing standards and processes in a consistent manner across the QA team. *In addition:* - Work well with Project, Build and Release staffs and various Development teams. - Help to continually improve standards in developing scripts, defect analysis and reporting. - Create, modify and run test scripts (automated and manual) based on business requirements and test scenarios. - Assist in ensuring that standards in developing scripts, performing analysis and producing reports are followed by the QA Test members. - Oversee the repositories of scripts, code and reports and ensure they are maintained. * * *Expert Knowledge & Experience* Functional Testing tools such as Quality Center or Quality Manager Automated testing tools such as QTP or Functional Tester Performance Test tools such as Load Runner or Performance Tester Performing defect/issue analysis and producing reports for distribution * * *Personal Attributes* Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business language. Ability to conduct research into application/code issues and interfaces. Highly self-motivated and directed Pays keen attention to detail.
