*Job Title : QA Test Analyst Location : Chicago, IL Duration : 6+ months* *Note: Consultant has to attend Face to Face interview at your own expenses after telephonic round.* Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. Design, write and edit test plans to ensure software functions as designed. Review system use cases and functional specifications with the appropriate business analyst. Identify potential problems, omissions and open issues and attend walkthroughs and attend signoff meetings. Serve as a coach and mentor to the department staff regarding how to develop and execute a test plan. Serve as a process improvement leader for the QA department. Responsible for identifying areas for improvements, implementing process improvements and ensuring long term compliance. Act as the lead in managing QA participation in sunset reviews. Set policies, standards and procedures for cross-teams system development life cycle, workflow and the interfaces with Product Verification. Partner with team to prepare comprehensive QA project plan, estimates as well as the implementation for phases of projects. Monitor the schedule of testing phases for all projects based on project specifications, scope, and coverage. *Required Skills:* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum 6 years of IT work experience. Testing background and hands on experience with test tools. Work toward certifications including: CSQE or CSQA preferred, professional test tool certification (Mercury, Rational, Compuware) Administrative Verbal Communication Skills Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years Administrative Written Communication Skills Yes 1 Intermediate Currently Using 6 + Years Database Platforms DB2 Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years Development Tools Cognos Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 4 - 6 Years Development Tools SQL Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years Miscellaneous Analytical Skills Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years *Additional Skills: * *Excellent SQL skills are required. ETL testing experience is a must. Congos testing experience is required. Business Intelligence knowledge is required. Healthcare experience is preferred. UNIX scripting is preferred.
