* * Reply me on [email protected]* * *Location: San Francisco, CA** Job Title: VBA Excel Programmer Length of Contract 14+ Months INS Status: Green card** , Citizen, H1 * *Project:* The Display Pricing Team has developed an Excel-based application, to implement the pricing strategy for a subset of the products for which the team has pricing ownership. By June, 2010, this will be deployed to > 20 markets across the world, with > 30 users. The application is developed wholly in Visual Basic & Excel (2010), using a combination of Excel formulas, conditional formatting, ActiveX controls, and macros, to meet the user interface, performance, and functional requirements. It is populated with data via queries against a backend SQL Server (2008) database through a periodic update. *Project Description*: Responsibilities include the following: 1) address user-identified issues via code fix or user explanation; 2) enhance the application based on Display Pricing-defined business requirements; 3) upgrade documentation relating to the application functionality; 4) administer the application on monthly cycle; and 5) update & maintain the Sharepoint site on which information about the application is distributed. Bug fixes & enhancements (#1 & #2) will account for approximately 80%-90% of the time. Timeline for developing enhancements will be effort-based, in that the overall time required for all activities will not exceed 40 hours per week. Also, note that the consultant must provide their own laptop. *Requirements*: The consultant must have a programming background, with *2+ years experience in Excel (2007 or above*) VBA creating business-user (rather than IT-user) user-experiences. *Development experience* should include performance *tuning & ribbon customizations, forms, macros, VBA graphics, ActiveX*, and *embedded equations in Excel worksheets*. *Nice to Have:* The consultant should have 2+ years in developing analytics applications, 1+ year developing SQL for SQL Server (2005 or above), 2+ years in developing or enhancing training collateral to be presented to business users, and 1+ year in maintaining Sharepoint (2007 or above) sites.
