Application/Database Developer Detailed knowledge of good database design principles. Detailed knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL. 3+ years experience of developing in an Oracle environment. Experience with XSL to create and modify reports. Experience with at least one front-end programming or scripting language, such as PHP or .Net. Experience with web services and data transfer technologies, such as SOAP, REST and XML. Oracle DBA skills, such as backup, recovery and performance tuning. Detailed knowledge of office programs and applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and scheduler, etc.) in a windows network environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems for sporadic desktop support. Excellent problem solving skills and intellectual curiosity about innovative technological solutions. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. Skills to establish and maintain professional working relationships with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, campus departments and administrators. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and follow through on assignments under supervision. Ability to ambulate to various parts of the campus - frequently. The ideal candidate would be flexible, proactive, a quick learner and a skilled problem solver. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
