Description : * This is a 6 months in Washington, DC. In-person is required after phone screen so local is better The Test Engineer/Analyst is responsible for test execution as per technical specifications, software design, software implementation and documentation of the Partner Payment System(s). He/She will provide superior technical skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a rapidly changing environment. The applications supported by this position include both proprietary (custom) and vendor supplied solutions like *Callidus TrueComp and Informatica*, involving high performance OLTP and batch applications. Activities encompass the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from project initiation, development of business requirements, implementation, through on-going maintenance and support. Duties and Responsibilities: - Work with internal business users, external vendors or other IT teams to ensure the accurate test execution and test documentation. - Develop and/or conform to testing methodology for effective and timely defect and error handling and tracking. - Develop unit tests correlating to given requirements for each assigned task. - Execute unit/system integration test cases prior to submitting to QA or UAT. - Work in a team environment by submitting design, source code, and unit test cases for review and performing reviews of other team member's deliverables. - Interact with Financial, Consumer Electronic Operations and OEM Business Units to ensure that test cases and executions are complete - Provide solutions according to Project Schedules. Requirements and General Skills: (list required knowledge, skills and abilities (with years of experience needed), as well as physical requirements, shift work/on-call hours, travel and working conditions) - Experience with technologies including Oracle SQL/PLSQL, SQLServer TSQL, Unix Shell Scripting, CVS or other Source Control system, proprietary Callidus TrueComp Developer GUI(not required but would be a plus) - Experience with OLTP and batch-driven applications. - Understanding of accounting/finance to understand the context for custom development and to work with finance during Project Initiation, Requirement Gathering, User Acceptance Testing and post-Deployment validation. - Understanding or experience with Partner Payments is a plus.
