Job Title : Quality Assurance Analyst Location : Mason, OH Duration : 5 Months contract Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation. May require an advanced degree and at least 6 years of direct experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. *Review and contribute to functional product requirements and design specifications during test planning stages of software development life cycle. *Contribute to the integrity of the test plans, test data, test environment, and coordination with support areas for specific projects *Develop test plans & detailed test cases from functional product requirements and design specification documents to ensure testing adheres to established company processes. *Evaluate and test new or modified programs and documentation by using various test methods. *Execute manual tests and report results as required. *Report identified defects in the software, using Team Track or similar defect-tracking tool. *Work closely with business analysts, development and QA Team Lead/Mgr, and/or stakeholders on a regular basis for information gathering and towards the resolution of issues as needed. *HL7 knowledge desirable. Questions you may have 1) What are they testing... an application or a system? ChartMaxx is an enterprise wide system installed in hospitals so it is a complex system containing 12 applications that interact with each other 2) Front End, Back End or End to End testing? Mostly front end testing, backend verification for some tests 3) Any specific software language knowledge needed? Unix knowledge to use for viewing logs and errors, Putty (tool used for access to servers), SQL knowledge for database, HL7 knowledge 4) We see manual testing.. but is there any automated testing...if so what tool ?Manual 5) Do they need healthcare industry background ?
