Need Wintel Systems Administrator
Location: Jackson,MS

Responsible for performing a variety of assignments associated with
monitoring and controlling computer operating systems. This position
requires a strong background in the installation, modification and
support of Windows Operating Systems. Responsibilities include the
installation, monitoring, optimizing, problem resolution, root cause
analysis, management and documentation of all server related issues.
Evaluates and installs hardware and software updates.
Investigates and recommends methods and techniques for obtaining
solutions. Initiates preventive maintenance on the operating systems
as well as repair to system/environment problems. Administers
systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying
schedules. Interfaces with vendors for trouble calls. Supports the
planning of system/environment, and technical requirements for
individual projects.
Must demonstrate a complete understanding of Windows Server Operating
Systems and hardware. Expertise in overall Windows server
infrastructure including; Active Directory, anti virus, patch
management, VMware, Exchange, and security.
Should have working knowledge of server hardware, installation,
configuration, and maintenance processes, LAN switches, and routers,
as well as basic Fire Wall rule principles.
Having knowledge and experience, to handle seldom occurring job events
is a must. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and
provide guidance to other team members. Must also demonstrate the
ability to perform problem analysis, logically organize and prepare
technical documentation, and effectively communicate.
Comprehensive knowledge of basic computer hardware and software
fundamentals. Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and
5+ years of operating systems experience. Viewed as a well-developed
technical resource capable of handling moderately complex assignments.
Ability to be trained in client's Critical Infrastructure Protection
(CIP) program and pass client's background check.
