Sr. Oracle Developer/DBA •Change Management (Database Overlays/Refreshes, Promote code into production). •Responsible for developing, maintaining and troubleshooting Unix shell scripts. •Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication/high availability (Data Guard), and other distributed data issues, doing tuning at the instance and SQL statement level •As a senior member of the team, assist in creation and implementation of physical database design and required database objects according to defined standards. •Troubleshoot database problems and provide corrective action within an appropriate period of time. •Assist in installing, upgrading and configuring database management system software.. •Implement security according to defined standards. •Develops and maintains the department’s documentation standards Job Qualifications •Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience •Six to eight years directly related experience. •Advanced knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL coding techniques to develop,troubleshoot and maintain stored procedures,packages and triggers. •Advanced knowledge of database design, data modeling, performance tuning (involving SQL tuning), indexing techniques, to produce sound logical and physical data models •Proven database programming skills including UNIX shell programming, familarity/ knowledge with different development methodologies e.g. AGILE, Waterfall etc. •Experience with varied forms of data design, such as online transaction processing, online analytical processing, data warehousing, operational data stores, and decision support systems. •Knowledge of Oracle database management software system (Oracle 10g, 11g (optional))to install, upgrade, configure, design, develop, implement, secure, tune, backup & recovery and maintain required database objects.
