TITLE: Configuration Management LOCATION: Albany, NY DURATION: 9-12 Months RATE: Open Mandatory Requirements: Technology related Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of training and experience) plus 5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience. Minimum 3 years experience with Configuration Management Tools (CVS, SVN, etc.). Minimum 5 years experience with Unix/AIX/Windows operating systems. Desirable Experience: SEI/ISO/CMMI experience. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Process. Good interpersonal skills. The Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for providing a variety of Configuration Management (CM) services including: support for internal software development teams; builds and deployments of custom software applications; support for 3rd party software installations; change management for multiple manufacturing areas; and creation/modification/implementation of formal CM-related processes. The ideal candidate must have several years experience utilizing CM processes and procedures, preferably in Java, C++ and Smalltalk environments. Unix/AIX/Windows operating systems knowledge and experience utilizing configuration management software tools (i.e., CVS, SVN) are required. The Configuration Management Specialist will analyze alternative approaches for Configuration Management (CM) solutions, and provides recommendations for the solution that best fulfills business requirements and aligns to corporate standards and directions.
