*Job Title : Mobile Application Developer* *Location : Washington,DC* *Duration : 6+ Month contract* *Desired Minimum Education and Work Experience Required Skills: * *Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and 4-6 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position. *Requires extensive expertise developing highly scalable, consumer facing web sites, including ability to understand and develop for security and scalability requirements unique to public web sites (rather than Enterprise/Intranet sites). *Requires extensive expertise with Java/J2EE development, database engineering, software integration, and multi-tier applications architecture required. *Requires extensive expertise with Java frameworks including Struts, Spring, and Hibernate. *Requires extensive expertise with Java, JSP, JBoss, Linux OS and file management, source code management (Subversion), and build/deployment process/tools (Ant); *Requires experience with SQL and relational databases (preferably MySQL); *Requires extensive knowledge and experience with Internet applications and protocols; understanding of TCP/IP networking principles; *Requires experience developing within an Agile/SCRUM methodology. *Extensive experience with public facing websites as well as deep understanding and implementation of scalability principles to ensure that developed components can scale to handle significant load. In addition, experience with general security principles required for public facing web sites to ensure users cannot attack developed applications or other users. *Within an Agile environment with minimal QA, it is absolutely essential that the developer be solely responsible for the highest Quality work product without relying on others to find errors. 3. Requires extensive experience developing Web Applications for the Mobile platform. This includes front-end web-based mobile versions of content and tools for Mobile platforms such as iPhone, iPad, and Android.
